Highly sparse EDX spectrum-images are difficult to process efficiently. To address this, SpectrumImager applies automatic spatial binning when the dataset size exceeds a certain limit.
This limit can be adjusted under Settings → Proceed → Import → 3D Max Size (times). For convenience, the size is expressed in blocks of 64×64 pixels and 1024 energy channels. You can select from 1 to 128 such blocks.
